Do you visit Disneyland at least twice or more in one year? If so, you may want to consider getting an annual pass. Of course when most people think of a ‘Disney annual pass’ they think, “it’s only worth my money if I absolutely visit the majority of the year.” However, I’m here to explain why this is not completely true. The cost for a regular park ticket to Disneyland and CA Adventure theme parks have been significantly increasing. Now, when you plan on visiting the parks for a vacation, you must fully pay upfront the cost of a ticket for you and your family. With an annual pass, if you’re a CA resident, this part may be very convenient in terms of saving and breaking down payments if you plan on visiting more than once. As a CA resident purchasing an annual pass, you have the option to make monthly payments towards your pass. All you need is to make their minimum deposit requirement up front, provide them with a debit/credit card of your choice to process the monthly payment and you’re all set! Now, of course, you ultimately are paying the full price eventually, but these smaller monthly payments make it much more affordable. Next, are all the perks of having an annual pass. Standard theme park parking is included for those who obtain a Disney Signature Passport or a Disney Signature Plus Passport! That alone is a huge saving, especially for those who are driving into the park for at least 3 days in one family trip. You also receive 15% off select dining as well as a 20% discount off select merchandise in-store or online at Shop Disney Parks. For those with a Disney Signature Plus Passport, Disney’s MaxPass is included where you can download your park themed photos on your devices at no extra charge and make FASTPASS selections from your mobile phone. If you have a Disney Signature Passport, you can easily add the MaxPass feature to your annual pass, which still comes out as a great deal! Making the calculations on those who visit the park at least two times a year for an average of 2-3 days/visit, the savings you get overall is well worth investing in an annual pass!
